As Studio 8 continues to grow and advance its film slate, the company has promoted two executives on the film creative team, John Graham and Greg Self, and hired two additional executives, Guy Danella and Scott Hatter.
John Graham joined Studio 8 in 2016 as Senior Vice President of Creative, focused on the acquisition and development of feature film projects. Prior to this, Graham served as Vice President of Production at Paramount Pictures. He will now serve as the head of the Development Team, overseeing all Studio 8 projects.
Also advancing to a new position is Creative Executive Greg Self, who first joined Studio 8 in 2015. Self was involved in the development of White Boy Rick (starring Matthew McConaughey, and currently in postproduction), and is the new Director of Development.
Guy Danella has been hired as Senior VP, Film at Studio 8. Prior to joining the team, Danella was an executive at Simon Kinberg’s Fox-based Genre Films, where he had a hand in several of the company’s Marvel projects, including New Mutants and X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Before Genre Films, he was Senior VP, Production for the company behind the Pitch Perfect franchise – Gold Circle Entertainment.
Scott Hatter previously served as Senior VP, Legal Affairs at 20th Century Fox Film, having worked on films Hidden Figures, Gone Girl, and others. He has been hired at Studio 8 as Senior VP, Legal Affairs at Studio 8. Prior to becoming an entertainment lawyer, Hatter was a litigator at the California Law Firm, Allen Matkins.
