Studio 8 has acquired ‘Naked is the Best Disguise’, a sci-fi thriller written by Academy Award-winner Graham Moore and developed by Scoop Wasserstein of Scoop Productions. The film will serve as Moore’s directorial debut, with production set to begin this year. Scoop Wasserstein will produce. Guy Danella and Greg Self will oversee for Studio 8.
‘Naked is the Best Disguise’ takes place over the course of one night in the near future, where advanced technology allows one’s memories to be extracted and inserted into someone else. The female protagonist is an illegal memory dealer, and is accused of murdering a man that she does not believe she even knows.
Graham Moore’s critically acclaimed 2014 film, ‘Imitation Game’, was nominated for eight Academy Awards – ultimately winning for Best Adapted Screenplay. The film, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley, also won a Writers Guild Award, and received both BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations.
